01 Acceptance of terms
🙏 By using Praycer, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app or website.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Praycer website at praycer.com and our mobile application (together, "the Service"), operated by Praycer ("we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
02 The Service
Praycer is a prayer fitness application that helps users track prayer walks, journal prayers, set scripture-based prayer focuses, and connect with a faith community. The Service is currently in pre-launch phase, with a beta version expected in 2026.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We won't be liable to you or any third party for any such changes.
During the pre-launch phase, signing up to the waitlist does not guarantee access to the beta or final product. We'll do our best to accommodate everyone on the list.
03 Accounts
When the app launches, you'll need to create an account to use most features. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account
- Keep your password secure and not share it with anyone
- Notify us immediately at support@praycer.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
04 Acceptable use
Praycer is a faith-based community. We expect everyone to treat it with respect. You agree not to:
- Post content that is hateful, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- Post spam, unsolicited promotions, or misleading content
- Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Scrape, copy, or extract data from the Service without our written permission
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
⚠️ Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice.
05 Your content
Praycer allows you to create and submit content including prayer journal entries, prayer requests, and community posts ("User Content"). You retain ownership of everything you create.
By submitting User Content, you grant Praycer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You represent that you own or have the rights to any content you submit, and that it does not violate any third-party rights or these Terms.
Private journal entries are never shared publicly without your explicit action. Community posts you choose to share are visible to other users of the app.
06 Intellectual property
The Praycer name, logo, app design, website content, and all related intellectual property are owned by Praycer and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our written permission.
We welcome feedback and suggestions. Any ideas you share with us may be used to improve Praycer without any obligation to compensate you.
07 Health disclaimer
⚠️ Praycer is a spiritual and fitness tracking tool — it is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise programme.
The fitness data tracked by Praycer (steps, calories, distance) is provided for informational and motivational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of this data. Do not rely on it for medical decisions.
If you experience pain, discomfort, or any health concerns during a prayer walk, stop immediately and seek appropriate medical attention.
08 Third-party services
Praycer integrates with third-party services including Apple HealthKit, Firebase, and others. Your use of these integrations is subject to the relevant third-party terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of any third-party services. Links to external websites are provided for convenience only.
09 Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Any defects will be corrected
- The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components
- The results of using the Service will meet your expectations
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Praycer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profit, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50 — whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
11 Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. When the app launches, you'll be able to delete your account directly within the app.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, without prior notice or liability. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
12 Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
