1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Tad Digital Ltd (“Praycer”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, number 16149007, registered office 124-128 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. They cover the Praycer web app and praycer.com (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Praycer.

2. Testing and changes

Praycer is in open testing. That means:

• the Service is provided free of charge, “as is”, and may contain bugs, change, or be unavailable at times;
• we may add, change or remove features. Where a change significantly affects you, we’ll give reasonable notice in the app or by email;
• we may reset test data or pause the Service for maintenance. We’ll try to avoid losing your content, and you can export your walk history from Settings at any time;
• we’d love your feedback. If you suggest an idea, you agree we may use it freely and without payment, though you remain the owner of your own content.

3. Who can use Praycer

You must be 18 or over and able to enter a binding agreement. You must give accurate details when you sign up. Praycer is a Christian prayer-walking app. Everyone is welcome to try it, and you agree to treat its faith content and other users respectfully.

4. Your account

• Keep your password safe and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
• One person, one account. Don’t share logins or pretend to be someone else.
• You’re responsible for what happens under your account.

5. Safety while walking

Praycer asks you to walk, and you’re responsible for your own safety. Please:

• keep your eyes up and stay aware of traffic, other people and the terrain. Don’t look at your phone while crossing roads, cycling or driving;
• choose safe, well-lit routes and tell someone where you’re going if you walk alone, especially in the dark;
• check with a doctor before starting any exercise if you have a health condition or any concern, and stop if you feel unwell;
• never use Praycer while driving or operating machinery.

Distances, steps and calories shown in Praycer are estimates and aren’t accurate enough for medical use.

6. Not medical, mental-health or pastoral advice

Praycer, its verses, prompts and community are offered for encouragement. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or pastoral advice, and nobody on Praycer is acting as your doctor, counsellor or minister. Other users’ posts are their own views, not ours.

7. Community rules

Praycer’s circles and prayer wall only work if people feel safe. You agree not to post or send anything that:

• is abusive, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual or discriminatory;
• shares private information about someone else, or your own, such as home addresses, phone numbers or detailed health information;
• is spam, advertising, a scam, or an attempt to sell something or recruit people;
• promotes self-harm or violence, or is unlawful;
• pretends to be a person or organisation you aren’t, or infringes someone else’s rights;
• tries to disrupt, scrape or hack the Service.

Only invite people you know, and respect anyone who says no. Disagree kindly. We may use word filters to catch harmful content automatically.

8. Your content

“Your content” means notes, posts, replies, circle names and anything else you add. You own it. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display and transmit it as needed to run the Service for you and the people you choose to share it with (for example circle members or, for wall posts, other users). The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that other users have already made for themselves, and backups that expire on their normal cycle.

Your private prayer notes aren’t visible to anyone else, and we don’t read them. You promise you have the right to post what you post.

9. Moderation and reports

You can block other users and report anything that breaks these rules. Content that attracts several reports may be hidden automatically until we’ve reviewed it. We may remove content, restrict features or suspend or close accounts that break these terms, or that put others at risk. Where we can, we’ll tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, email hello@praycer.com and we’ll look again. In serious cases we may need to report to the police or other authorities.

10. Points, badges and invites

Prayer Points, badges and similar rewards are for encouragement only. They have no cash value, can’t be sold, exchanged or transferred, and may be adjusted, reset or retired as the app develops. Invite bonuses are awarded when an invited person completes their first qualifying walk. We may withhold or remove points for fake accounts, self-referral, or any misuse. Only invite people you know, and don’t pay or pressure anyone to join.

11. Churches, small groups and leaders

You can use circles with a church or small group, but Praycer is not a church management system. If you lead a group, you are responsible for how you use Praycer with it, including that every member is 18 or over and joined by choice. Praycer is not designed for children’s or youth groups. We don’t check anyone’s identity or suitability, and nothing in Praycer replaces your own safeguarding policies and legal duties.

12. Paid plans and new apps

We may in future introduce paid plans or extra features, or release Praycer through app stores, with features such as Apple Health or Google Fit connections, guided prayer audio or tools for groups. If we do:

• we’ll tell you clearly and in advance, and show the price before you pay anything. Nothing becomes chargeable without your agreement;
• the core of what you’re using free during testing won’t suddenly be charged for without notice, and you’ll always be able to export your data;
• a paid subscription or an app-store purchase will have its own terms, including cancellation and refund rights under UK consumer law, shown at the point of purchase;
• we’ll update these terms and the privacy policy before any such change takes effect.

13. Our rights in Praycer

Praycer’s name, logo, design, software and original content belong to us or our licensors. You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or build a competing service from it. Bible text is used under the relevant translation’s terms. The King James Version is in the public domain in the UK, apart from the Cambridge University Press patent.

14. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to that, and because the Service is free during testing: we provide it with reasonable care and skill, but we don’t promise it will always be available or error-free; we aren’t responsible for losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen, for loss of data you could have exported, for business losses (Praycer is for personal use), or for anything caused by events outside our reasonable control, other users’ behaviour, or your failure to follow section 5. Our total liability to you for anything arising from the Service will not exceed £100, or if you have paid us anything, the amount you paid in the previous 12 months, whichever is greater.

15. Ending your use

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app (Settings) or by following these steps. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we have to close the Service, in which case we’ll give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data wherever we can.

16. Law, disputes and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute, though if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also have the right to go to your local courts. Please email us first so we can try to sort it out.

We may update these terms as Praycer grows. We’ll post the new version here with a new date. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. By continuing to use Praycer after that, you accept the update. If you don’t, you can delete your account.
